Migration has become an increasingly important aspect in shaping socio-economic, cultural, political and demographic outlook of Georgia. Efficient management of migration, which harness the potential of the diaspora for the socio-economic development, is one of the priorities of Georgia.
There are many Georgian researchers living and working abroad. Strengthening ties with them, exploring possibilities of cooperation of diaspora researchers with researchers in Georgia and a potential of their return are very important issues of Georgian scientific community.
